As the Donna Kerr Group's lead listing account manager, Susan draws on her background in general contracting as well as real estate to deliver awesome results for our clients. Having done hands-on construction work for a local private contracting group, Susan lends real-world contracting know how to the home sale process. She also brings over 14 years experience in both commercial and residential real estate sales and leasing.  Having owned two single-family homes in the Silver Spring area, she is passionate about helping others find or sell their homes and making the process as streamlined as possible. 

She values listening and communication in working with clients and offers cheerful persistence and thorough efficiency to any transaction..

In her free time, she can be found managing her own home improvement projects, riding her motorcycle, playing with her pets or spending quality time with her significant other and daughter.

If you are looking for a real estate broker in Montgomery County, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Washington D.C . area, I would strongly encourage you to choose Susan Kirn. I live in California and after calling several agencies in the DC area I was rewarded when Susan answered the phone. Instantly her inviting demeanor let me know that I wanted to work with her. I had been trying to buy a condo for my elderly mother and like I said, I am in California. Susan took my info, the following day met with my mother and within a week we put in an offer and closed on the property 8 weeks later. And my mother had specific wants, top floor, western view, close to shopping. We spent 6 months prior working with another realtor. I knew that the problem was the relator not the market. Susan proved me right! The entire process with Susan was smooth as silk. We had negotiations, inspections, issues with storage and parking and Susan was ever present in dealing with the seller, the sellers agent, vendors, and escrow. It was all pretty much seamless to me but I know she put in a lot of hours researching and negotiating to make it happen. Susan was recommended to us by a friend of our son-in-law who was also house hunting at the same time. Ou r situation was complicated a bit by our living just outside Boston, MA, and not being able to come to Silver Spring to look at houses ourselves. Susan adapted well to that constraint, first setting us up with access to an MLS listings website, then adjusting the filters on the selected listings to be sure we saw all listings that might be of interest. That also forced us to think a bit more about just what we wanted and what aspects were show stoppers. She then arranged access to the house we ultimately ended up buying, gave us a walkthrough using Apple’s FaceTime to see the corners not shown in the listing photos, and made some measurements of critical room dimensions for us. Through her firm, Donna Kerr Group, she also helped us find a mortgage company, and we think she could have helped us find a real estate attorney and an insurance broker if that had proved necessary. She also provided advice and reminders along the way with regard to the home buying process in Maryland, a bit different than in Massachusetts, and in any case it had been 38 years since we last purchased a house, and a lot has changed in that time. Altogether we were very pleased with the service we got, and found Susan a very pleasant person to work with.
