Silver Spring, MD 20902

A short walk from the Forest Glen metro sits this deceptively large home. Its many double-paned windows showcase the beautiful hardwood floors throughout and a fabulous open, circular floor plan. From the open formal living and dining rooms to the bright newly revamped kitchen with stainless appliances and new Marmoleum flooring, this home is a delight. Retreat to the master suite featuring a large closet and en-suite bath with gorgeous marble floor, shower and walls, a modern vanity, and built-in shelving! The lower level offers many possibilities with its newly carpeted large family room, laundry and abundant storage. The 4th bedroom and full bath are a perfect space for guests or an au-pair suite. Relax on large screened-in porch off the kitchen or grill out with friends on the patio made from stones from an old road in Georgetown, while the large, fully-fenced backyard provides plenty of room for play. McKenney Hills and Forest Glen Parks, with their tennis & basketball courts, playgrounds and dog parks, and the excellent Flora Singer Elementary School are just a stone’s throw away. The metro, Georgia Avenue and 495 provide easy traveling anywhere you’d like to go! You will love living in this beautiful home!

Letter from the Seller

Thank you for your interest in our home. We moved here close to 10 years ago, when we returned to the neighborhood we loved after a stint in L.A. We were thrilled to be back in the tree lined streets and among friends. The neighborhood has an active civic association and listserv, which really help knit it together. There are regular activities: Halloween Parade, Park Clean Up, Winter Blues Festival, Summer Block Party, and A Wider Circle Volunteer Day, to name a few. As well as an elder assistance initiative where neighbors volunteer to help our elderly neighbors during snow storms and other natural events. And if you’re ever in need of any kind of recommendation, would like to sell, buy, or borrow something the neighborhood listserv will provide!

Other things we love about our neighborhood: the wonderful Flora Singer Elementary school, the Glenwood pool, Albert Einstein High school has been vibrant and exciting, easy access to the beltway, and how close Downtown Silver Spring, Bethesda, and Rockville are. The short walk to the metro makes downtown DC feel right around the corner. We also take advantage of our close proximity to the Sligo Creek, Rock Creek, and Capital Crescent trails, which have made for lots of fun family bike rides and beautiful runs. The many parks and playgrounds were a lifesaver when our kids were small. Also, the house’s layout and especially the porch and big yard have made hosting large parties a joy.
We really love our house. It has been a true home. We hope you will love it too.

-Erin and Carey Nuttall
