DKG Sponsors Sligo Summer Concert Series
Here’s a nice nugget of good news: Once again, the bands are lined up for summertime gigs at Sligo! Of course the exact schedule is pending in light of current events, but the ground work has been laid for an amazing summer series once life returns to normal.
For the second consecutive year, the Donna Kerr team will sponsor Friday nights of live music, dancing, great food and drink at Sligo Creek Golf Course.
You already know that Sligo cooks up some of the best BBQ in MoCo. And some of you may remember we kicked off the live music series at Sligo last summer. This year? Even better.
Beginning (hopefully?!) June 5, every Friday night from 6-8 p.m., the leafy, rolling grounds of Sligo will be home to some of MoCo’s sweetest sounds. We’re talking about Marcus Johnson, Slo Mo Wreck, Color School, Loose Ends and more.
But it’ll be more than live music on stage, BBQ and beers. Local vendors will set up shop and offer fun throughout. Kids will love face painting, the bubble station, footgolf, cornhole and more. The VIP area (professionally staged by DKG!) will feature contests and other activities.
And on July 3, we’ll extend our hours to 3-9 p.m. for Independence Day. (Psst. Can you keep a secret? We’ve lined up a guest musical appearance by McCo Executive Marc Elrich.)
The fun will run through Oct. 9. We’re still tweaking our plans, so stay tuned. Bring the kids. And the dog. And your dancing shoes!
