Guide To DMV Dog Parks

From Agility Training Courses to Beer Gardens, Some of the Best Dog Parks in the Area

In recent years, eighty-nine percent of millennials who bought a home owned a pet. Over the past year, even more people added a furry friend to their lives. Whether an old or new member of the family, more people are buying homes with their dogs in mind. As a dog-friendly brokerage, our team showcases some of our all-time favorite dog parks in the area. (For the record, we also love cats, guinea pigs, bunnies and lizards among the menagerie of four-leggers we adore.)

What dog doesn't love to play – especially in a place with lots of open space and the chance to make new four-legged friends? Some cities, like Silver Spring, are banding together with non-profit organizations to create areas where dogs can play off-leash legally, freely and most importantly safely in local dog parks.

Our roving reporter (pun intended) and DKG videographer Dennis set out with his pup Coby to give us the scoop on some of the area’s best dog parks. While you’re at it, take a peek at some of our favorite Donna Kerr Group glamour shots!
